Established in 1868, Chochin Shuzo is situated in Tsushima City which is located at the westernmost point of Aichi Prefecture. The Kuromoto [Owner] & Toji [Master Brewer] at Chochin is Masayuki Kuwayama. ‘Shinbunshi’ means wrapped in newspaper and this refers to the distinctive packaging of the bottles. The Shinbunshi 50 is made utilising Hattan Nishiki from Hiroshima prefecture. A powerful and full bodied style that has a fragrant aromatic profile, fine acidic backbone and a complex bitterness on the finish.
